What kind of knitting needle am I?

pink aluminum
You are pink aluminum.
Retro, straightforward and fun, you love classic
things. If they're 99 cents at Goodwill all the
better! You are moved by striking colors and
tasty morsels, and you like a stitch-n-bitch
session in the sun. Just remember, while
you're being kitschy cool, don't get too cold.
Ice cubes are best kept in your cocktails,
baby!

Mittenettes

This is one of my all time favorite patterns. I found it here. Those are my brothers hands in the photo. He's a rock and roll star so I had to pick some colors that would be good for holding the microphone. I believe I succeeded. I made some adjustments to make the mittens a little bit larger but I can't remember what they were. If I do, I shall post.

Yarn: Black was some acrylic I had laying around in a thick worsted. The pink is Brown Sheep's Nature Spun in worsted.

Felted Bucket Hat from ChicKnits

This project was a blast and at the same time a yawner. When I got to the 4.75 inches of stockinette stitch I found myself trying very hard not to rush. However, the felting and fitting process was so much fun that it was totally worth it. I made this for a friend at work who has a larger head than most (though you'd never be able to tell.) She says she can never find hats to fit her, not even in a mans' size. So I set out to make the 24' version of this pattern. One other adjustment I made, when it said to switch to size 10 needles, I went ahead and bumped it up to 10.5 just to get it a tiny bit wider than called for.

In the end it fit beautfully. It's a tad bit too loose on her (which is really good in my opinion, can always shrink it some more!)but she loves it all the same.

Fuzzy Feet

This photo is a few months old now. Those fuzzy feet are long done and actually on my feet as I type this right now. I just love this shot of it though and had to share!
